This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. everytime I feel like having a proper lunchon, this place comes instantly to my head. fresh and all sorts of food and a large menu.well mannered staff, and good spirit. Not less important, the tariff is good. I sent my friends to this place with no doubt.

Place is great for carryout. Ladies are always friendly. They have always had our large orders ready when I get there even on short notice and food had always been great.

I live in mid-Missouri, but I am in the KC region often. I discovered this little gem of a place getting gas at the Bates exit. I was very hungry and was looking at the little bit of food at the gas station, when a guy walking past told me about Bates City BBQ and it is literally just a block away.I went in and the food was great. If I am in the area and I am going to eat I ALWAYS stop here-unless they are closed (stupid Mondays).

If you're leaving KC or just getting into town this little place won't disappoint. The portions are good sized and the BBQ is better than most. Clean little place with country music playing in the background provided a nice stop off for lunch.

Some of the best bbq in KC. I would absolutely put their burnt ends up against anyone's!

This place was outstanding! I will be going back. I was out in the KC area and was told about how fantastic their bbq was. I stopped in for some brisket and it was by far the best I’ve ever had!

I took my brother inlaws and it was fantastic. We had the Tray and had so much great 3 meats. The ribs were juicy, the brisket was tasty and the pork had great flavor. Service was excellent. Thanks and hope to come back soon.

A hidden gem! The staff is friendly and the food is great, especially for the price. I got the combo plate and really liked the ham. Beans were good and there sauce has a lot of flavor. Highly recommend.

Just driving through Missouri and came across this hidden gem. As a Texas boy I pride myself with Texas bbq. This place blew my expectations and I can't wait to come back.

It was good not the best ive had but decent food a little pricey

i am a frequent customer that eats at Bates City and their sauce is available on the table when you eat there . No limits . Now with this carry out of food only , you have to pay extra for ANY sauce . That's ridiculous. Today on 4/24 lady working was rude when i asked for just one tiny souffle cup of sauce to dip my fries in . She said sorry can't give out any after i just spent $40 in food .I wasn't asking for like a pint .... get real

You can't beat the prices and the meat falls off the bone, literally. They take two weeks making their ribs Phenomenal

I tried this restaurant for the first time today. My husband got the ribs. They were great. I got a brisket sandwich. We got fries, beans and slaw. Everything was really good. There was no atmosphere here. No music, and the decor looked like it hasn't been updated since the nineteen- seventys. The food was good and the employees were friendly.

I've been a customer for forty years, and unless I move away or die, I'll be back on a regular basis. My favorite pork ribs hands down! And the fries are so good dipped in the sauce. This is the standard by which I judge all other barbecue by. A clean place ran by friendly and attentive employees that care.

I have loved this place my whole life. My family loves this place and it hasn't let us down yet. Anytime I get the chance, I stop by. Bates City BBQ has a special place in my heart.

Decent smoked brisket, tender, only slight smoke flavor, a little on the dry side, but my"girlish" figure would appreciate that. Potatoe salad, nothing to brag on, but there are as many recipes for that as they are opinions. Fair price, decent grub, town square atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Picked up a Combination Tray for the family today to surprise them with lunch. Did not disappoint!!! Keep up the great work and wonderful food!

I've been going to Bate's City BBQ for over a decade now. The bbq is great and they have the best fries. It has a cozy, causal feel and plenty of room. The service is friendly and helpful.

From out of the area. Great food and lucked up and saw some classy rides in the parking lot! Double bonus!

Decent food, not bad on price. Wasn't my fav but would eat again!
